Brand Overview
Fresh Hand-Cut Citrus
We hand-cut fresh lemon, lime, orange and clementine peel, all key botanicals in Brooklyn Gin. We refuse to use citrus concentrates, artificial flavors, or dried citrus peels, which produce dull and flat flavors. For the fresh and vibrant citrus notes in Brooklyn Gin, there are no short-cuts.
Hand-Crushed Juniper Berries
Most gins rely on dried juniper berries, which release harsh, piney flavors; but we hand-crush fresh juniper berries to make Brooklyn Gin. Our juniper berries are vacuum-packed to retain freshness. When we crush these berries open, we release their sweeter and spicier notes for a more flavorful gin.
Small Batch Copper Pot Distilling
We refuse to use the industrial distilling process, which creates a bland, stale gin. Instead, we steep our botanicals to release their essential flavors. We then distill in small batches in a Carl Copper Pot Still to slowly extract flavor from the fresh fruits and botanicals. The Copper Pot Still interacts with the alcohol in each small batch to remove bitter notes, resulting in a smoother gin with greater complexity.
Yes, this method takes more time and craftsmanship but it is all worth it for the flavor and taste!
